河合美和
１９６０年 兵庫県生まれ
１９８４年 京都市立芸術大美術学部卒
河合美和は「木と木の間」を描き、降り注ぐ光のイメージを表現する画家です。六甲山を歩いていて木漏れ日が差したときに、遠近感が失われ自分の立ち位置が揺らぐようなあいまいな空間を感じたことが制作のきっかけでした。いくつも重ねた「木と木の間」に自在に光を散らし、絵画ならではの複雑な奥行きを生み出しています。
長谷川浩子
１９６１年 新潟県生まれ
１９８８年 東京芸術大大学院美術研究科修了
長谷川浩子はヒノキ、マツ、サクラなどを素材に、翼を思わせる流線形や人の姿をかたどった彫刻を制作しています。胡粉（白色顔料）を塗ったなめらかな表面とシンプルなフォルムは優しさを感じさせます。そして彼女の祈りにも似た造形はあらゆる生き物に地下水脈のようにつながっている形をも思わせます。
三田村龍伸
１９８０年 神奈川県生まれ
２０１１年 日本大学大学院芸術研究科博士後期課程修了
三田村龍伸は写真と映像の撮影、加工を通して、自身の生活を記録するアーティストです。風景などの写真、映像を撮影後、コンピューターによって抽象的な形やカラフルな色彩を付け加え、動感や生命感を伴う肯定的なエネルギーを表現します。ART OSAKA 2014では、宮崎県の山中で目にした木漏れ日を主題にした映像の新作などを発表します。
芝田知佳
１９８４年 兵庫県生まれ
２００９年 東京芸術大大学院美術研究科修了
２０１３年 橘画廊で個展「YY/MM/dd」
芝田知佳は染色、シルクスクリーン、ドローイングの技法を使い、軽やかな色彩で作家本人の記憶に刻まれたイメージを表現する現代美術作家です。ART OSAKA 2014の6036号室では、La Mer Hotel Ebiと題した個展形式で夢の中のような不条理な物語を展開します。
Miwa Kawai
Miwa Kawai, creator of Between the Trees, is a painter who presents images of downpouring light. Walking through Mount Rokko, when the sunlight filtering through the trees shines down, all sense of perspective is lost and you feel your own position swaying in an ambiguous space; that was the impetus of this work. Light scatters freely through numerous layers between the trees and creates the complex depth characteristic of this painting.
Hiroko Hasegawa
Using materials such as Japanese cypress, pine and cherry tree, Hiroko Hasegawa creates streamlined shapes reminiscent of wings, and sculptures modeled on the human figure. The smooth surfaces painted with white chalk and the simple forms give a gentle impression. And these forms look like shapes evoking the connection, like underground currents of water, between all living things.
Ryushin Mitamura
Ryushin Mitamura is an artist who creates photographs and videos, and through the process records his own life. After shooting photographs and videos of landscapes, etc., Mitamura uses the computer to add abstract shapes and colorful tints, expressing positive energy full of feelings of motion and life. Mitamura’s new works, including those on the subject of witnessing sunlight filtering through the trees in the mountains of Miyazaki Prefecture will be exhibited at ART OSAKA 2014.
Chika Shibata
Chika Shibata is a contemporary artist who expresses the images carved from her recollections through light colors using the techniques of dyeing, silkscreen and drawing. At ART OSAKA 2014 in room 6036, Shibata will hold an one-woman exhibition entitled La Mer Hotel Ebi and will unfold her irrational tale like events seen in a dream.
