CHUN Inah exhibbition “Sak – Dong (色、動)”

チョン・イナは鳥や花など生命の宿る有機的な形を借りて、生き生きと躍動するさまを表わすペインターです。作品に共通するのは、幾何学的な造形とは対極にあるバイオモルフィズム（生命的形態主義）。自然から取り入れたモチーフを自らのタッチ（筆触）やストロークとともに画面の中で遊ばせ、何かが生まれ出てくるイメージをつくり出しています。

出展するのは「マトリックス」シリーズの新作絵画です。マトリックスとはチョンが10年前から取り組んでいるテーマであり、創造の根源を意味しています。人であれ、鳥であれ、魚であれ、彼女の作品に登場するモチーフはすべてマトリックスの比喩です。今回は中でも鳥を主なモチーフとし、鳥ののびやかな動きによって「自由」を象徴的に表しています。

チョンはその鳥を描くうえで、中国古代の地理書『山海経』からインスピレーションを得たと話しています。同書には古代の人々が語り継いだ考え方が記されているとされ、そうした文献を参照しているところにも、モダニズム的なものから離れた画家の姿勢がにじんでいます。画像は「紅鳥#2」（2017年、ミクストメディア、紙、38 x 46 cm）。

チョン・イナ
1970年ソウル生まれ。97年ソウル大学校美術大学修士課程修了、2014年国民大学校芸術大学美術学部博士課程修了。13年Hakgojae Gallery（ソウル）で個展「合 – Matrix」、17年クムサンギャラリー（ソウル）で個展「色、動」。

Tachibana Gallery will hold the Korean artist Chun Inah’s solo show “Sak – Dong” from May 10 to May 21, 2017. This is her first solo exhibition in Japan and presents new paintings in her  <Matrix series>  representing dynamics and freedom through the theme of “birds’ movements.”

Chun’s artworks, which are always moving like living cells, continue to search for the motives in the appearances of living creatures. The obscure shapes like the parts of human bodies or other creatures in her artworks conjure emotionally profound inspirations as bio-shaped abstraction. The artist takes images of familiar nature and creates harmony on the canvas, diffusing them to thread all the separate images into a single theme.

Kim Seryung exhibition “GARDEN”

版画の技法の一つであるモノタイプとコラグラフィーなどによって想像上の庭園を表現する韓国の若手アーティスト、キム・セリョンの個展です。キムは子どものころ、韓国清原郡の小さな村で花や蝶とともに時を過ごし、繊細な蝶の羽、バラの花びらの色、ユリの香りなどから霊感を得て育ちました。そして今、子どものころの記憶に触発されながらも、自らの「庭園」の中で郷愁にとどまらない感情を探っています。

作品のモチーフはユリ、ハイビスカス、バラ、デイジー、パンジーなど。これらは季節や土地との関係を切り離され、キムの作品である画面上に浮遊しています。その印象は繊細でファンタジック。自然の一部を切り取ったイメージではなく、草木や太陽の光、風などが入り混じった有機的なイリュージョンと言った方がよさそうです。

主な技法は、さまざまな素材を版に載せたうえで刷るコラグラフィーとモノタイプ、木版画です。多彩な色を生み出すため手描きのモノタイプを利用し、多様な質感と明暗を表現するためにコラグラフィーを使っています。花粉や花びらの質感は砂で、太陽の光が植物に反射したときのコントラストは接着剤で表すなど、コラグラフィーの材料は多様で、それらがつくる触覚的イメージにも特徴があります。

キム・セリョンにとって庭は「おとぎ話の世界」。神秘の空間を四角い枠に閉じ込め、忘れかけていた驚きを伝えています。14点を出品予定。作品はすべて一点ものです。上の画像は「Garden1」（2017年、コラグラフィー、モノタイプ、木版画、60 x 90 cm）、下の画像は「The Butterfly inside of Flower」（2015年、コラグラフィー、モノタイプ、55 x 55 cm）。

キム・セリョン　1983年韓国・大邱（テグ）生まれ。2015年アカデミー・オブ・アート大学（サンフランシスコ）芸術修士号取得、同大学スプリングショー第３位。

Korean artist Kim Seryung’s first solo show will be on view at the Tachibana Gallery in Tokyo from April 5 to 16, 2017. Kim grew up in a small rural area in South Korea where she was always playing with flowers and butterflies, which she took as rich sources of inspiration for her art. Now she explores various shapes of petals, textures of butterfly wings, organic colors, and movements of flora and fauna in her works. 

Kim’s primary mediums are abstract collagraphy, monotype and wood cut. She uses monotype by hand painting for diverse color and creates collagraphs with many kinds of materials such as sand, glue, string and paper for various textures and values. These multiple layers of monotype, collagraphy and woodcut reveal the unique descriptions of her organic world in her “Garden”. This exhibition will present around fourteen works by Kim.

彫刻家の伊東敏光が３月８日から31日まで、ソウルのクムサンギャラリーで個展「Collage – Memories In Scenery」を開きます。伊東は2014年から韓国のアートフェアに出展していますが、個展は今回が初めて。昨年、東京芸術大学大学美術館陳列館で披露した飛行機型彫刻「Miyajima787」（画像、2016年、木、147 x 400 x 430 cm）をはじめ、新作の「磨崖三尊」（2017年、木、53 x 56 cm）、「石仏」（同、同、48 x 45 cm）など、合わせて十数点を出品します。

Toshimitsu Ito’s first solo show in Korea will be on view at Keumsan Gallery in Seoul from March 8th to March 31st. This exhibition presents over 10 sculptures by Ito including the large airplane-shaped sculpture “Miyajima 787” (2016, Wood, 147 x 400 x 430 cm).

浅野綾花が２月25日から３月26日まで、台湾台中市のYIRI ARTS（伊日藝術）Taichung Spaceで個展「お別れの時-Farewell time-」を開きます。浅野は2015年から台湾のアートフェアに出展していますが、個展は今回が初めて。日常の出来事の痕跡である紙片のコラージュを取り入れた銅版画と、銅版画だけの作品を展示します。

台湾には１カ月間滞在し、現地での制作も予定しています。画像は「日曜日があふれて（Sweet Sunday）」（2016年、エッチング、コラージュ、28.6 x 37.7 cm）。

東京都千代田区のアートセンター、3331 Arts Chiyodaが主催する展覧会形式のアートフェア、3331 Art Fair 2017 -Various Collectors Prizes- に、橘画廊の推薦で柴田謙司と稲葉高志が参加します。会期は2017年３月17～20日、会場は3331 Arts Chiyoda　１階メインギャラリー。柴田は「Locked in the Ether」シリーズの写真９点、稲葉は 鏡の作品７点を出品します。
